Sam loves eggs , raw ones and in shells even better I gave him an egg, he took it so gently and wandered out into the garden putting it down so carefully on the lawn . I watched him through the kitchen window , he carefully rolled it around, nudging it with his nose, right up to the top of the garden and then nudged it back again, tail wagging at this wonderous game Twenty minutes it lasted before his desire to eat it got the better of him, he put a big paw on it to crack it open and was still licking the grass for ages after it had gone ;D
Re: A record maybe ? Ah Sam,I'm a little bit in love with you.....don't tell Dexter though!Kate I can see him in my minds eye how you write about him,he's a lovely boy
Re: A record maybe ? Could this be a new catagory at Crufts agility I wonder? Could catch on. It's like those social studies class where the students are given an egg to look after for the weekend, demonstrating responsibility/parenthood. I don't think Sam would pass that module, eating it definitely drops your grade! ;D
Re: A record maybe ? I once found an egg buried in my garden. ??? According to the date stamp it was a couple of months out of date. There is only one dog in my household who would steal an egg and burry it whole in the garden. They don't call cockers 'the undertaker' for nothing. ;D
Re: A record maybe ? I keep meaning to try Amy with raw egg, need a free day incase it upsets her tummy.
Re: A record maybe ? Wow, I never thought of giving Simba an egg....might have to try that someday. It would be interesting to see what he does with it!!
Re: A record maybe ? I'd say that 20 minutes has to be a record. He is such a sweetiepie. So funny that he cracked it with his paw. My old Lab, who was great with our birds, used to follow our ducks around in the hope that one would lay an egg. Sometimes one did, as ducks are very careless that way.
