Just a Feelgood Post....just back from a few hours at the beach with cuillin and brodick. We had such a great time...brodick is released from Hunt Obsession there and really enjoys himself...both of them non stop racing after balls, retreiving loads from the sea, wrestling with each other, digging and burying their balls, and general labrador mayhem but such good dogs too , perfect whistle recalls from both on the odd occassion i recalled em...followed by a cold beer in a beach side bar with a pal with a chew for the pups and a crisp each...they r both now snoozing on sofa. Top evening!

Sounds just lovely - we broke all the rules tonight, it was such a nice evening. We put a chicken in the oven then, we went up to the common and gave Charlie an EXTRA 15 minute off lead walk. Hopefully, we have not condemned him to a life of hip dysplasia. But hey, we thought we’d risk it as OH was so disappointed on getting back from a long day at the office to hear I’d used up the WHOLE 22.5 minutes allowance (Charlie is 4.5 months…) this morning.

Sounds like a wonderful day! I have to confess I haven't been following that 5 min "rule" too closely....I didn't know about it when I first got Simba and now, well, walking is something we can do together, as I haven't had a chance with all the training to work in the "how to fetch" game. He's 10 months old now so that would mean 50 minutes....don't go too much over that most days so I'm not going to worry about it!!
