Right, just got the mailing about doggy holiday books - time to stock up. Plus just found the recommendations here. Lovely. So, what shall I get? I’ll pick 5. Anymore, and I won’t get through them. I only do ebooks so that rules some out. Going to get A Dog Named Slugger, that sounds really good. And Don’t Shoot the Dog sounds like a book I need, hope it’s on itunes… Best get a “perfect puppy” – I certainly need one! Brain games for dogs sounds good, Charlie can be a bit dim at times. Already got Total Recall of course, and not venturing into Cesar Milan’s world – Charlie shows no sign of wanting to dominate my family, although he is a bit pushy about getting enough tummy rubs. So, I thought my 5th one would be in Defence of Dogs, which I’ve heard a lot about. Sound good as a choice of 5?
Re: Ooo - books! Sounds good to me! Ah, when dogs start demanding tummy rubs you know that you are truly being crushed under the paw of oppression
Re: Ooo - books! You will fall in love with Slugger,a lovely story I will look up In Defence of Dogs too enjoy x
Re: Ooo - books! Looking forward to all the doggy books - I'll let you know what I think of them once done. I know, with the tummy rubs - SO intimidating to have a small puppy roll on to his back with his paws in the air looking hopeful... :
Re: Ooo - books! I have a HUGE selection of books to take to hospital with me next week!!! Among them are several doggy books - including a book on dummy training ( in German, sadly, so I can't recommend it to non-German speakers) - and Guy Wallis' The Specialist Gundog... 8) Wonder what they're going to make of me on the ward???
Re: Ooo - books! Sounds like you'll have a productive time! Hope they have wi-fi so you can post from the hospital (also hope nothing serious) - always seems to be a lot of hanging around in hospitals.
