Well we were away for the weekend and everything went okay between Simba and the boys. Phew, I thought! Had to go out last night and they had some trouble.... He was snatching things, tearing around the house with his "loot", ignoring the "bribes"... And at one point they discovered him ON the kitchen table!! No food there, he was just getting into stuff...ON the table....

On Monday we leave for our 6 weeks away. God help us all....

Oh Lisa,I have just said in another thread that our life is all about steps forwards and BACKWARDS,so just see this as a blip.....I'm chuckling but it's funny but not funny him being on the kitchen table!!!!I can imagine the kerfuffle....there is nothing you can do now except enjoy your holidays and start again when you come back ......hope he's on his best behavior today.has the crate got better?

I know, it is kind of funny, but STILL!!!!!

The crate is a bit of a wash, I'm afraid. Just couldn't get it going. He eats in there and I can close the door on him and can keep it closed for a minute or two after he eats before he gets restless. I think they could put him in there with a new treat (bone, or something) and they could get a half hour peace, likely. I just don't want them misusing it....will have to have a long talk with them about it... Sigh...

You know you will get him there, you've just had a deadline with your hols .If you didn't have that worry you would be really pleased with how far he has come, because you have made tremendous progress.
The boys sound good lads,I know they will be busy doing there own thing espesh when the folks are away ;) but they will get attached to Simba by being his careers .....
When we got back and I got Dexters report card....he'd played the sitter up a bit eg biting his lead, jumping up on her when they were out walking....so I thought right here we go,I'm going to have some mischief, but he didn't do any of it,it's like they know who they can get away with stuff with.As long as everyone is safe and nothing important in the house gets damaged your work is done for now and I really think you will more or less pick up where you've left off.enjoy your holidays, you will worry for a couple of days but when you wind down you will be saying Simba who? X ;D

Look Lisa, you didn't plan it this way. You are doing the very best you can for Simba, and now it is up to your boys to step up a bit.

My guess is, once Mum is out of the way and not in a position to take up the slack, that they will all get along just fine. Try not to worry. Enjoy your holiday. Breathe deeply.

    All will be well. :)
