regarding the harness,.....the vet recommended i use a lupi, it is a rope type harness lightweight...i have used this twice, found it difficult to put back on for his walk home......my son used this last night, did a walk in an area where traffic would be, slowly getting jasper used to his fear of traffic.......this is the way forward as he walked beautiful :) a bit nervy of the traffic, :( day by day we will do short walks amongst traffic to overcome his fear :)......did any one .watch paul o,grady, for the love of dogs on labrador guide dogs?

Well done Lynne , we just have to find the right one for our dogs , some react better to harness, some to leads but you do right to take jasper out for short on lead walks around traffic, well done :)

So glad to hear that you've found a possible solution! :) I'm sure Jasper will settle down around traffic in no time - Simba was a bit nervous too when we first got him but now how's mainly okay. Still a bit worried about things like bobcats or other small noisy vehicles, but he's not too bad about those now, as well.

took him out today on a lead walk.......i have got to say i am bursting with pride :) he was a star, walked beautifully ;).......there was a wagon just ready to move off from parked position, i sat him down put my arms around him, held on to his collar, he was brilliant, so a big treat to a run off lead ....... a big massive 10 /10 today,...his behaviour was very much improved, hope this is a sign of my little fella growing up :)......10 / 10 on recall yes yes yes

Yay! Yay! Yay! These are the days to put in the memory banks and pull out when you have one of those "not so good" ones....! So glad to hear the harness is working - you'll be able to have enjoyable walks now!
