Charlie is unimpressed by the new food controls, for sure.

I am always surprised by how little food I have to give to my large Labs, compared to my German Pointers, they had three coffee mugs a day each and the Labs have about one and a half! Poor Charlie, I feel for him but it has to be done.

I know! I sometimes find it hard to accept how little food Charlie needs to kept him healthy but "on the slim side of normal". Got to get a grip, anyway. Charts are now printed out and stuck on the fridge....

Bless him - he'll soon lose that kilo and be back on normal rations.

(Tell him I feel for him, I can run on the sniff of a carrot  )

We got out into the garden today. :) I haven't been using the garden because there are steps up to it - and although I did train Charlie to walk up a ramp, I was just nervous about it. He tended to sort of bounce up the ramp than walk. But today we gave it a go on a very short lead and did fine (I think it would always have been fine, but was just a bit over cautious).

I made myself comfy on a mat in the shade and we stayed a while. He seemed to enjoy being out in the sunshine anyway. Gave us a change of scene at least. :)

Love the pic, Julie! Charlie is making the most of his time in the garden I see! Glad you got a change of scenery without any scary moments on the ramp.

Charlie love you. He says can you have a word with the strict, scary, head nurse and his vet about the matter of the extra 1kg? He's starving...

Did Charlie pay you to say that, so he could get some extra food? ;)

Playtime today was puppy games - find the kibble in Amazon packing paper.

Hmm....Charlie doesn't look too impressed - or maybe it's because there was only one kibble. Should be able to do more interesting things next week, after we've seen the physio.

So agree, hardly worth the effort of finding it - Poor Charlie :D:D Really pleased that he's making such good progress and he's looking happy and relaxed - even if his reward was only one piece of kibble
