Re: Rosie 3.5 months! Ah, thanks everyone! She's a sweetie and these labs have the most lovely nature. She's outside eating half an apple at the moment. Her house training is coming along slowly. But if I take my eye off the ball there can be an accident....but improving all the time. Still using pads overnight so this is going to be the last bit to crack but she is clean in the day when I am out. I think the thing that taught her to hold it in was confining in her crate for increasing lengths of time (up to 1.5 hours) and she's never dirtied in there. I also adopted a more scornful approach when she made a mistake - ignoring accidents didn't seem to be working - so I made a tttch noise and said naughty Rosie and ignored her for her bit. She hates being ignored and caught on quicker with this approach. So....we're going camping in a few weeks and wondering - any of you camped with a puppy? It's just for two nights but, obviously, she's not gonna have her cage or pen. Any thoughts/tips? Hoep you having a wonderful day with your doggies
Re: Rosie 3.5 months! She is gorgeous - we're thinking of camping with our puppy for 2 nights during the summer hols but her crate folds down flat so we will probably take it with us. Our biggest problem at the moment is crying/barking at night as she would be in with us I'm not expecting it to be a problem! x
Re: Rosie 3.5 months! Thanks - I hadn't considered taking the cage with us...hmmmm - that's not a bad idea!
Re: Rosie 3.5 months! She is lush! She looks so similar to Penny and would appear they are about the same age. I am curious where abouts she is from and if they are litter mates.
Re: Rosie 3.5 months! Ah ok, not the same then. She just looks so similar and one of Penny's sisters was named Rosie too.
