Well Frankie our beautiful yellow Lab arrived with us last Thursday. She's settling in well (well at least we think she is)....she's crated at night and only wakes once for a wee & poo then straight back in her crate and asleep. As I'm off sick at the minute I've been popping her in her crate around 8 in the morning until about 11 when she will be visited when I'm at work and she's great may have a little cry but nothing massive, she then gets fed plays goes outside for wee and back in to run around and cause general chaos lol. I only work 3 days part time and my son works shifts so she will probably only do 2 half days on her own. Hubby is in love so are the children, my 6 year old is a joy to watch with her when she jumps up her she goes paws on the floor and Frankie dully follows instructions knowing Daisy will then run and hide and she goes off to find her this cat and mouse continues for about 10 minutes with Frankie following Daisy tail wagging, Daisy then takes her into her pen for a wee fetches her treat lets her out gets her to sit and congratulates her on her achievement, it brings a tear to our eyes. Frankie loves a ball of wool she's like the Andrex advert, she steals slippers, socks, school shoes, school bags, she nips toes and nips fingers (gently).

So glad we got her after losing our beautiful black girl 5 years ago aged 14, I truly never thought I would love another dog.....I'm sure we have a lot of difficult times ahead as well as many more magical moments.....my next concern is finding a good puppy socialisation class was thinking of looking on the Kennel Club website.

Hi Jo and welcome to the forum! Frankie sounds delightful and it's great to hear that she's settled in to being a part of the family so quickly :) I bet it's so lovely to see her and Daisy playing together - Daisy sounds like she's doing a great job of training :)
