Sadly puzzle is battling another ulcer on her eye. She had one last year caused by allergic conjunctivitis. And the same has happened this year.

This ulcer is a lot worse than last years. She has an appointment back at the vets on monday but may have to go in tomorrow as so far it has not shown any signs of improvement. She is feeling very sorry for herself with the buster collar on to stop her rubbing her eye.

If you are worried then I'd go straight back to the vet's. Ulcers on eyes can be dangerous, as Heidrun and Kate can both prove.

Aw, poor Puzzle. Willow had a sore eye a few days ago and we took her to the vet. Thankfully, no ulcer, and the drops she is on are clearing the infection up wonderfully.

    Is Puzzle on any meds?

Hi Annabelle, Karen is spot on, eye problems should not be left. Charlie had an eye ulcer a few years back, I took him straight to the vet and he had to have a GA to have to drained the same day. I hope she's OK. xx

She has isaderm for each eye twice a day for the allergic conjunctivitis. And a relatively new product, corneal repair gel for her ulcerated eye

Oh poor girl, I'm sure she must be feeling very sorry for herself. Sore eye and a collar. Hope the eye is better very soon.

Poor love, please don't wait long Annabelle , my Millie had emergency surgery last year for a Melting Ulcer , as a consequence she has lost some sight in that eye following a cornea transplant operation , I truly hope that Puzzle will be ok

    Hi Annabelle!
Great to here from you but not so good about the ulcer.
I wouldn't mess about. Poor Puzzle. Hope she is okay. Think I would be back at the vet.

We ended up taking her back to the vets this morning and they referred us to an eye specialist and luckily got the last appointment before the closed.

So glad we did, as he found a grass seed in her eye which caused the ulcer to form. Change of eye drops and some anti-inflammatory's and now a much happier puzzle who is cone free. Although i did take two tubes of local anesthetic for her to open her eye, bless her.

Poor girl, hopefully she will show rapid improvement now after the appointment with the eye specialist.

So pleased it wasn't anything more sinister , poor girl must have been driven crazy with the irritation . I`m sorry to ramble on, but I really want to plead with members to take their dogs to the Vets with any eye problems and go back and back if it doesn't clear . Millie was one of the unlucky ones to get the melting ulcer and I would hate anyone else to go through the trauma it causes , so please Puzzle is ok .

As this was puzzle's second ulcer we knew that something else was wrong as it was very different compared to the last one but the vet we saw first was not that concerned by it, but she was this morning as her eye was worse rather than better.

She is not out of the woods yet as she still has a large ulcer on her eye so she is back to see the eye specialist on friday for a check up to see how she is doing
