It has taken just over a month for Max to be somewhat comfortable in the presence of strangers...well after today i think hes come on leaps and bounds!!!! Today Max and I spent the day at DogFest (a day out with hundreds of dogs and people raising money for a charity called the Humanimal Trust, also the presence of the amazing supervet that is Noel Fitzpatrick) He started off being a bit wary but once he realised that nothing was scary he settled in completely, took treats of strangers, let them TOUCH him...i mean usually it takes him 30 minutes to an hour for him to let anyone go near him. Im only writing this becauae i feel proud to be a labrador mommy!
Ah sounds great,I can imagine how you were feeling.I was very apprehensive taking Dexter to a small local pet show.sounds like you had a great day out,wonderful confidence building for you both.....and I'm very envious you met the Supervet! I love him! X
Thank you all for your kind words, i loved it so much im planning on going to more doggy events this year! I couldnt recommend these fun days out enough, was such a joy to see so many dogs and their families.
