Any changes, particularly if sudden, are worth checking....

I hope Dex is ok and you get an eye roll. S&S have patches like that on their lips but I think they've always had them. They are in a place where they chew which Dexters looks like. The little wart looks fine. Murphy had quite a few of those over the years in various places. If he had an op they removed them but some just disappeared. Good luck.

It's always a worry Angela, but both those things look pretty harmless to me.

My two get those pink bits on their lips when it gets caught by a tooth. So, hopefully just a little scratch.

Let us know how you get on x

As you can guess, nothing to worry about , just pigmentation change! So weird how that happens so quickly! When he sat looking at the vet with his mouth open and relaxed she said she could see why I noticed it straight away, such a big contrast to the black of his inner lip......
She mentioned that one day he might yawn and I'll see a black spot on his tongue ,it's common and nothing to worry about just another pigmentation blip.....oh we laughed! She knows If that day happens I'll still be swinging by to get it looked at...just in case! X
Thanks everybody ,hope everyone is well with you xxx

Good news. My cat , who is ginger and white, got black spots around his mouth and the vet said it was normal, so now you have a black spot to look forward to!
    Happy it was ok :)

Glad there is nothing to worry about. :):)

On the right side of Charlie's mouth, the battery eating side:rolleyes:, the pigmentation on his lower inner lip varies a lot. You have to be really up close to see it, as his lip is a pale chocolate colour, but there is definitely a lot of variation. I reckon it's where there was some damage, and it just changed colour when it healed up.

Glad everything is ok. . Scout has quite a big black patch at the back of his tongue. It's only noticeable when he pants or a big yawn and then you have to be looking at him in a certain way. A shock when I first spotted it I can tell you.

    Good news.
Is the tongue thing linked to Bolo spots or something. Remember talking about that before......
