So, here we are on holiday in Wiltshire, down on the farm. So beautiful, Son was with us for a couple of days, weather fantastic, friends and family around, Poppy having a blast, all lovely .

Next door have a lovely black labrador bitch, who is on heat. She keeps escaping and coming round to visit Poppy. No problem as far as we are concerned, as they are both girls (though a little surprised she is not better supervised). But what is really odd is their behaviour - she is obviously desperate for a mate, and keeps encouraging Poppy to play. They run around having fun, then the other dog presents her back side to Pops and flags her tail to one side - and Poppy obligingly mounts her!! Then they play again and the whole thing goes in cycles. is this usual bitch behaviour, when there isn't a male dog around?

I hope you are enjoying your holiday
I would of thought she would be better supervised too!
