Lucky Bella, what a lovely life! I ended up taking Chepi down to the local stream just before dusk last night. There were 2 other dogs there and Chepi had a thoroughly wonderful play. The water is mostly ankle deep but can get up to her tummy and the stream is only about 10 feet wide (3 metres ish). Chepi just let it all hang out, bum-tuck mad run-around through the water for about 5 minutes without stopping. The other dog owners just stood and stared . She must have been so happy after the miserable day stuck at home. The weather is lovely today, about 26 and a lovely cool breeze. Yippee
gosh - reading about all this heat I am feeling blessed that our walk on the beach was in thick fog this morning at around 14°C- I grumbled about it at the time. We're lucky to be a small Island, the sea keeps our temperature reasonable.
Teddy is exactly the same. He's fine with rivers, streams and pools etc but if you go near the hose he bugs out quicker than a ferret up a trouser leg. Trying to get him used to it but a wet towel worked during our little episode this morning (Didn't see this topic until after I posted)
Same here with our rescue Casper, he will potter around streams and occasionally swim, but hates the hose, and appears quite suspicious of our dog paddling pool, won't go near it. Benson on the other hand has a new game, steal kitchen utensils and try and bury them in his paddling pond.
