I was so inspired by Heidrun's 'Spaniel in the Lupins' photo, that I was dying to take a 'Poppy amongst the Poppies' photo. Unfortunately, only a couple have flowered in the garden this year! Still a sweet photo though:

That's lovely, she is really beautiful - and a lovely theme to suggest!

Just realised the scale of the challenge though...got to find a link with the name to really measure up to this. I have some Charlies angel sweet peas though....right. I may be some time...

    Lovely picture.
I am at this point in my holiday craving any dog contact.
Any passing dogs (not many) or picture will do

And yes - of course your little Jack Russell is hunting the fish... What did you expect? ;)

Thanks for the nice words about Poppy - she really is a girl, isn't she?

Ah Karen, Poppy ig gorgeous! She's smiling in that photo. How come your flowers still have heads? It's like the french revolution in our garden, anything living has been be'headed!

Kate, this is the first photo I've seen of Sam, what an absolute stunner. And thank you in advance for this next bit, hubbie has declared, 'we should definitely get a black lad next I reckon'. You're only half to blame, David's Lady pic has tempted us too!

Aww, thanks , Sam the man was only about 15 months old in that pic , he is quite a lot bigger now, but still a cool dude 8)
Remember that thread I started about boy dogs looking male and bitches looking female ? Poppy is definately a girly girl :)

Sam is just lovely. I want a black one like Sam, and a yellow one like Dexter. And I want Harry. Oh, and all the rest too!

TM - have I missed a pic of David's Lady? Where is it?

My favourite two subject, dogs and gardens! ;D

Poppy looks so lovely there amongst the flowers and Sam is definitely the dark and brooding type, very handsome. Little Millie's encounter reminded me of Alice when she was a pup and first discovered the koi carp... :D :*

Great photos! Love the ponds too - I wish for a pond, but my ducks would trash it.

Our garden is too wintery right now for a photo but I'll see if I can find a pic from warmer times :)

Here's my Nicolae in his younger days, trying to eat his bone before the chicken gets it.

And as a slightly older doggie, near the veggies...

And as a very old doggie, in front of our bay laurel. Although he was old he never went very grey.
