We have a general moderation policy on healthcare and I think that this does need some clarification, so I will be adding to the rules on this topic later today. I would like to point out that although many of our moderation policies are decided through a process of consultation within the moderation team, the healthcare information rules are based on my own personal preferences and the moderators are upholding my wishes, rather than taking it upon themselves to interfere with members posts. I though Julie’s response was objective and constructive, and in line with our policy and did not feel that it contained any kind of ‘blasting’ I will clarify that policy shortly In the meantime, I think its important to note that lyme disease action and other medical experts all recommend that you do not apply any kind of substance to the body of a tick as this makes the tick more likely to regurgitate its stomach contents into your dog, increasing the risk of infection This method of spraying ticks with Apple Cider Vinegar is therefore potentially dangerous and for that reason I have removed the link
I gave our two bravecto for the first time in early May , within hours two dead ticks fell off, most impressed and being a tablet, its so easy . Our walk in forests and woodland so to give a tablet every three or four months is the best remedy, for us .
I've just sent my vet an email to ask if they can prescribe Bravecto and what their recommendations are. Thanks for your help.
