I`m most likely putting 2 and 2 together and making 5 but ........
We have little background on Millie , the shelter has agreed to spay her at their expense if she has a season . We both thought that her slightly pronounced teats meant that she has had a litter in the past, but she eats like a little piggy , she has been wormed with Drontal very recently .
My mind is in overdrive now, wondering if this was why her people didnt want her back when the Warden picked her up ?

I think gestation is about 63 days , she was picked up by the dog warden about two and a half weeks ago, its her appetite thats making me a bit suss , she is worse than Sam but then that could be because she was very hungry before . I dont think Vets can tell until about 6 weeks pregnant so will have to just keep an eye on her, just be my luck ::)

Hi, Sorry if this advice isn't really helpful, but my pup Otis was wormed with drontal, but he still had bad worms and needed worming from the vet and a worming tablet. He is a pup though. Good luck though, hope everything is okay x

Hi Kate, appetite isn't a very reliable indicator, some bitches get a slight discharge when pregnant, some lose their appetite in the early stages, and may even be a bit sicky. By the time they get 'hungry' they usually have a bit of a 'belly' . It's probably a case of wait and watch :)

    Hi Kate
The gestation period is 63 days. My vet is scanning Elsie next week, to see if she has pups, and she will be about 4 or so weeks post 'being got by Joseph'. Elsie was going to have hormone injections, but my vet is weighing up the matter in terms of spaying her as she has become increasingly aggressive towards Bailey in the last few weeks.
    Best of luck to you

Thank you , I thought it was about 63 days, but have also been told that with a very small dog like Millie is, it can be as late as six weeks before it can be confirmed ? Watch and wait and hope the tummy doesnt expand I suppose ::) Good luck for Elsie x
