Hi Blue, my nearly one year old yellow lab, and I are new to this site. He is a lovely dog that just likes to eat anything and is selective on whom he talks to. He is at the stage of ignoring you and dragging you for a walk. I can't wait for that day when I get that lovely dog that walks to heal off lead and comes when he's called Any tips to would greatly be appriecated. Btw, we attended puppy class he was great in there hit him home and hey back to his old self again.
Welcome to the forum from Holly and me. I've had three Labs and they all settled down between two and three. At one they sometimes tried it on - a bit like teenagers. I'd suggest two things: 1. Get a copy of Total Recall. Its a great programme for teaching your dog recall. 2. Get some really irresistible treats that Blue can't resist. Some people on this forum swear by squishy sardines. Our Holly loves primula cheese squeezed from the tube.
Welcome to the forum from me and chocolate Labrador licks from 7 month old Mabel. Couldn't agree more Total Recall is an excellent book it's definitely worth reading. Along with the happy puppy handbook. Mabel loves fish skins or ultra smellie tripe. I buy air dried sticks. They stink . Worth having smellie pockets when you get a good recall.
Hello and welcome from Fred and Me. Fred is a 15 month Black Lab. I am sure you will enjoy this forum and learn a lot, I know I have.
Hi there! Don't despair, you will get there with LOTS of patience and time spent in training, but the result will be the dog you are hoping for! Total Recall is a lifesaver...you won't regret the purchase. Welcome here from me and Simba, almost-3-yr-old LabX.
