My Black Labby bitch is in season , this is her second one now. Her behaviour slightly changes as you would expect, but I don't know whether her 'rasping' is something to be concerned about as she didn't have this the last time, don't know whether its connected or something completely different. its more of a rasping sort of noise from her throat and she has been little sick. I have given her only a couple of biscults today and plenty of water. is this a bug of some sort. can anyone give advise of what this culd be please?
Hello and welcome. I've never heard of a bitch having problems breathing, or a cough, because she is in season. I wouldn't have thought that the two things are connected. It isn't possible to say what might be wrong with your dog over the internet. A rasping cough that sounds like the dog has something stuck, might be kennel cough. Or she might have something irritating her throat. Perhaps you should have her checked out by a vet.
Hi and welcome to the forum. I'm not an expert on symptoms and behaviours during seasons as I had my girl spayed before having a season. That said, I'm not sure how a raspy cough and being a kittle sick would be connected to a season. If it were me I would have a word with the vet and take her in for a check if necessary.
Welcome from me and Lilly! I agree that rather than worrying, a trip to the vet will put your mind at rest.
