My yellow is closing in on being a year old now! But for the past few months he's been very chosey on whether or not he eats his food (dry food)

Now I've ruled out health problems as he will eat treats/meat/fruit all fine and his bowl movements have been all normal he just more often than not skip his morning meal and seems to reluctantly eat his evening meal, even if I top his dry food with meat he just picks out the meat....

The brand I feed him is called Millieswolfheart which is a good quality dry food, it doesn't matter which flavour I get him he will act the same to all....

Now my question is can some one sugggest a different brand within the same quality/price range of millies?

There are two things I can think of.
    1. Put his meal down and leave it for 10 mins. If he doesn't eat it, pick it up and put it away. Do the same at tea time. No treats or extras inbetween meals though!! He will eat when he gets hungry.
    2. Try a different food - my girl didn't really like kibble. She is on Natures Menu BARF diet along with some raw bones. She adores this.
    Good luck

I've tried the leaving it down, it doesnt seem to work ... One day he'll eat it then go back to not eating it.....

I would change food that's why I've asked for suggestions on a good alternative to millieswolfheart

Asking what food people recommend will get you a million different answers. I personally use Burns as well as raw food, and my dogs are fine on that. I can't imagine them ever not eating. Some people are of the opinion that one kibble is very much like the next, so it doesn't really matter. Just try a few in the same sort of price bracket as you're willing to spend and see how he gets on. Burns, Skinners, Arden Grange, Orijen, Lily's Kitchen are all fairly widely used by members of this forum, along with a multitude of others. I think it's simply a case of finding something that suits your own dog.

Agree with Fiona's advice, we all have our own preferences so it's just a question of deciding on a similar product and trying it out and seeing the response. Don't forget with any change of food you need to introduce it over at least a week.

Funnily enough I am just changing from Eukenuba to Millies; about the same price bracket but Chepi prefers the Millies. I5 kg bag of Euke is 40 pounds (no pound sign on computer) on subscribe and save on Amazon uk.
