At long last Molly was spayed yesterday. She also had a small lump removed which is being sent away to be analysed - vet seems very confident it's just a cyst so hoping he's right. Molly was a bit whiney for a couple of hours when we got her home, but then ate, drank and pooed and slept all night. She hasn't needed to wear a buster collar as she has dissolvable stitches (none visible) and I'm here to keep an eye on her. Today she's still a bit sleepy but has had food and a dose of Metacam, so all's looking good.
Pleased to hear that Molly is making a good recovery from the GA. It's so much better if they don't have to wear a collar. Fingers crossed the biopsy comes back clear.
Good girl Molly, for being so brave , Millie had those stitches too, its so much better if they don't need the collar , it will all seem a dim and distant memory for her x

My Molly was stuck together with 'super glue' when she was spayed last year. It seemed to work very well. She made no attempt to lick her wound so no buster collar for her. The fun comes tomorrow when you try to apply the 'keep them quiet' advice
Good luck with keeping her cal over the next few weeks . Harley was quite sleepy and docile for at least 6 days after her spay. She just wanted cuddles constantly. Harley sends healing licks
Ah good wishes Molly, sounds like you made a great recovery from the GA - I remember Belle bounced back very quick - dissolvable stitches- great idea. Scooby is going back on Friday, hopefully to have his last stitch out - that will be 17 days after his op! Still no jumping!
Disolvable stitches, glue and no buster collar needed make life much easier. I hope Molly gets over the anaesthetic soon, but then the challenge will be keeping her quiet as she will be ready to bounce around! Good luck with the biopsy.
