    Hi,

Just want to find out if anyone's dog has experienced vomiting after taking Pedigree joint care treat?
    If so, why?
My lab did it few times and I am reluctant to feed him that treat any more...
    Thanks

    Linus

Sorry, I just realised I posted it at the wrong section.
How can I move or delete it?
    Thanks.

    I moved it for you.

Sorry, I have no experience of the treats you're talking about. Are they to treat a specific joint problem or as a pre-emptive strike? If he's vomiting, it sounds like he may be sensitive to one of the ingredients. Could you supplement his diet with the glucosamine in a purer form?

Our last dog had a very upset tummy after feeding one of these. I never fed them to our dogs again, I thought it was probably something to do with ingredients.

If your dog is vomiting after eating these treats don't offer them again. If you are looking for supplements or foods suitable for joint care in dogs there are some very good options. One good treat for hips and joint care which comes in the form of a chew is by Smart Bones and comes in a pack of 10. Not cheap but very good, and recommended by Juno :D

Chepi is unwell today after trying a Smart Bone. I gave her one the other day and then she had a very upset tummy and I gave her one today and she's been vomiting. Not too sure about Smart Bones. I think I will be throwing the rest away.

Jane Martin Poor Chepi, hope she's better soon. Best not to give her anymore Smart Bones just in case. With Juno it's Pedigree Jumbones that give her a bit of runny poo, but then it could have been the Milbemax she had with breakfast :(

We had an easy day today. Just waiting for it to cool off (30c) and we'll head for the river. I will put the smart bones to the back of the cupboard!

    Hope Chepi is feeling better?
Harley has a very sensitive tummy but is fine with smart bones. Strange isn't it!

I rather avoid anything Pedigree branded tbh - tried few times with different dogs & only one was tolerating their treats.
Why don't you use proper joint supplements for joints & other treats as treats?
One of my dogs is dysplastic - he gets golden paste daily (coconut oil, organic turmeric & white pepper) + glucosamine & chondroitin tablets. As treats for all my dogs I use dried sprouts, carrot slices, pineapple chunks, little pieces of cheese, boiled chicken breast or chicken paws as chews. Maybe try sth like that instead of those treats?
