My pup was playing with an oilive oil 2 ltr bottle and after sometime the upper part of cap was nowhere to be seen and seems chewed and i found little chewed pieces in my room so i guess he must have eaten that cap part - he seems fine so far but im very much worried about him now :( it's midnight here and i cant see my vet untill tomorrow 11am this means another 11-12 hours... I searched on net and read that bland food like bread rice helps so i gave him 2 peices of bread and now hes sleeping. What else can i do ??? Will he be alright?? I dont want anything to happen to him :( m all in tears :(

Can you call your out of hours vets to get their advice? They are usually really good with things like this

I would be calling the emergency vet and taking him in right away. They should have a 24-hour emergency service. The problem with a cap like that is that it could be sharp and damaging his insides, or be causing a blockage. Bread and rice won't help that at all. Give your vet a call now and see what they advise. Let us know how you get on.

Hi all thanks for your replies, i read a bit online and called his doc first thing in the morning and he asked few questions and seems my baby is fine as of now and no issues whatsoever. I'll keep a strict eye on him for next 2-3 days as well. Hope he stays fine fingers crossed!!
    Thanks you everyone!!
