I hate to give away lovely secret places, but there is a fabulous beach cafe in Ferring, near Worthing that is amazingly dog friendly. It's called the Bluebird cafe. Dogs welcome inside, it's literally next to the beach, where you can take dogs. There's also a grassy path off to one side that follows the beach. The breakfasts are amazing, and it's open all day.
