Too much exercise

I decided to take Ella on a different walk today that I'd estimated would take about 20mins (at 5 months this seemed reasonable). However I managed to make a wrong turn, got a little lost and our walk ended up being just over an hour! Luckily Ella seemed to cope fine (although she's out for the count now) but I'm a bit worried about the amount of exercise she's had in one day.

Do you think she'll be ok as it was a one off? Should I reduce her exercise tomorrow or just see how she is?

I'm sure she will be fine. Make the most of a quiet day! They are few and far between with a 5 month old.

Hehe, zonked dog. I do love a tired-out Labrador! I'm sure she'll be fine, try not to worry.

 

Please don't worry , its not an every day occurrence , she will be fine to resume normal service today

 

I wouldn't worry. Juno started on her doggie walks, with our trainer, when she was 15 weeks old running and playing with the other dogs and the walks lasted for around an hour each week.

 

I agree, she'll be fine, but I would definitely give her a rest day tomorrow.

Thanks everyone. As soon as I stopped panicking that I'd hurt her or caused some permanent damage, I started enjoying the lovely quiet, cuddly puppy in my house ☺
