I can't 'quote' to reply to messages...

Anyone have any idea why I don't have the little 'quote' icon on most message strings? It appears on a few, but only a few.
Is it just me?

 

I wouldn't know how to either!

Yes, but on most threads that button isn't there..... I only have the 'flag' button. Any idea why?

 

No, sorry. (I was replying to Jane). I think it's gremlins. They nicked my moderator's cog once! It was gone for weeks.

Fiona snowbunny might know. She's tight with the gremlins...

 

Sorry- was trying to figure out when to push the button, before or after you write something.

 

Rosie are you using a "real" computer, or a mobile device? I've checked your settings and you're allowed to quote, so sounds like the gremlins that nicked Julie's cog have been at work with you. Try clearing your web browser cache and see if that works. If you're not sure how to do that, let me know what browser you use and I'll talk you through it.

 

Oo, oo, oo! My quote buttons are back! And I didn't do anything except go away on holiday for a few days and then come back!!!! (I don't understand any of this but happy my buttons are back again....)

Gremlins, for sure. They'll be off to nick someone else's buttons now, we'll see.....

 

Just hope they stay away from the Big Boss's buttons.....

 

Aha! I have just noticed something..... if I go into a thread straight from the 'forums' listing, I have my buttons. If I go in from my 'notifications' links I have no buttons. The gremlins' lair is obviously somewhere in the website caverns linking notifications to message boards. Sneaky little beggars.
Still, now I have a workaround!
