Just had the dogalogue guide dog catalogue through my letter box and was delighted to spot Gypsy on April of the puppy calendar. I always buy one but it will be extra special this year with her gorgeous face on it. They seem to have a lot more gifts in this year. I especially like the mug with "everything tastes better with dog hair in it"!

    Brill!

    So pleased :) :) :)

    (and proud!!)

Gypsy will be going into advanced training at the end of October and is training in full harness now. Her trainer says she's fabulous (but we already knew that!) If all goes well she'll be matched with her new owner by Christmas.

Which is cooler being in the calendar or becoming a guide dog?! I guess the guide squeeze it......just ;)

Awesome work Gypsy, you have every right to be proud of her (and yourself!)

Oh yes. We will get to see her working as she moves into advanced training (she is keeping the same trainer 'tho they don't always) I can't wait!

Two big positives - gorgeous puppy for a year. Hugely proud feeling as they progress. :)

One big negative - saying goodbye as they move on :(

The goodbye must be gut wrenching. Enduring that is the the most generous gift, I reckon. Gypsy might be a proper Guide Dog by Christmas - wow. So impressive.

A guide dog by Christmas! That's incredible!

As I was reading this post, Ella just tried to jump on to the the bed, misjudged, bounced off the side and landed on her back. I guess not all labs have the mental capacity for great things

How amazing that Gypsy will be a 'proper' Guide dog by Christmas. Must order my calendar quickly before the run out. I think there may be a high demand for it this year.
