When we pulled into the car park at Golitha Falls this morning , I saw a man standing by his car looking very agitated and worried, head in hands . It turned out that he had decided on an early walk with his dog, returned to the car, unlocked it to towel off the dog, put the dog in the back of the car and at this point, his car had locked itself with his keys on the front seat .Luckily my husband had his mobile phone so we rang the AA for the man who was getting so upset about his dog, also we had the back seat cover which we took off the seat and placed it over the back windows which were in full sunlight . Thankfully , the AA came out very quickly and got the car unlocked , the dog was alright mainly because he had been for a swim so his body was nice and cool , but it just makes you think about self locking cars and how dangerous it can be , poor chap was in tears :'(
Re: Another gentle warning Truly scary!! So glad you were there to save the day and more importantly the dog. Luckily my car isn't that flash but I don't leave Riley in it for a moment longer than needed and in this weather I even worry about him being in it traveling to a walk! Paranoid or what!
Re: Another gentle warning Kate to the rescue again, I think we should just call you "Wonder Woman". Poor dog and owner, I hope they are both OK after their traumatic experience. Helen xx
Re: Another gentle warning Kate, you are a handy person in a crisis. Smashing a window was probably on the agenda too, I'd guess.
Re: Another gentle warning If Kate hadn't turned up to rescue me the car window would definitely have bought it !
Re: Another gentle warning I think this was the mans next move , I would have smashed the window straight away
Re: Another gentle warning well done kate again , on my face book people are posting, if you see a dog in a car even with the windows open, smash the window, do people really leave there dogs in cars ? besides it being a great danger. jasper would eat the seats.....i got a new car a few weeks ago, hence him not going out in it
Re: Another gentle warning Well Done! My eldest locked himself and his baby brother in the car in Tesco! So hard not to panic and scare the kids! Someone had to break in it for me, kids had no idea what was going on!
