Kitchen roll. Lots and lots of kitchen roll I'd get a couple of kongs if I were you; it's less time-consuming to make two (or more) at a time, and you have one in the freezer while the other one is out/being washed etc., or if you need to pop out and want to have your pup occupied for longer than one will last. I had the medium puppy size. When they got bigger, I bought two medium adult ones, assuming they'd be bigger (I bought online), but they're the same size, so I bought some large ones, too. I now have four of each size - the puppy ones are still going strong and my two are over a year now. Some power chewers will destroy them when the adult teeth come in, though. I have eight in total for two dogs, which is plenty for me, but nowhere near what some people have! Cardboard boxes for him to shred (honestly, far better than any commercial toy ) Food I guess is a given!

Puppy pads are great for mopping up piddle puddles! They are backed in thin plastic so it's easier to put them on the puddle to soak it up then gather it up. They absorb loads more than kitchen roll. I get the cheapest as quality and size doesn't matter for that job.
Are you planning on insuring your puppy and if so is he coming with insurance or do you need to set it up in advance? Enjoy the planning chaos will arrive soon enough
snowbunny Okay, 2 puppy Kongs it is, I have two med sized for Misty, I should have thought of that. Food is a given yes we'll be changing him from what he's on a few weeks after he's settled in. Doggy towels we have galore, despite only having small Cavaliers the doggy towels are huge, Murphy was always in a muddy puddle. We were insured with Axa, and got forced into Nci when Axa sold out to them. We couldn't move as Misty already had an existing condition.

Fingerless gloves. You will be training during the winter. Torch for late night wees. Food ! I would recommend Treatballs and Bustercubes. Getting their kibble out of the toys gives them something to do and gives you a breather. They are very full on when young.

I'd get a onesie with a hood for all those late night in the garden trips to the toilet that a puppy will need. Definitely get Kongs they are invaluable. Looking at the list you are pretty organised. I love shopping for my girl, OH has informed me that he never realised how expensive a puppy could be. I have a weakness for handmade collars from Etsy. Well if I do something it has to be done right. It's so exciting waiting for your puppy, the weeks will hopefully pass quickly. ☺️
Don't be disappointed if you find out that his favourite toy is an old towel, an empty plastic bottle or a bit of cardboard! (I bought all these expensive toys and they were all ignored..... but little Pongo was completely happy so I didn't care). We found that the chew deterrent spray from Pets at Home worked brilliantly. Other people find it doesn't work at all..... You may not need to try it immediately, but it is worth a try if you find that destructive chewing is a problem. So excited on your behalf! Enjoy!! Rosie
Aquasorb towels like the one Fiona said are brilliant. Waterproofs are a must......comfy walking boots are essential as they do like to walk for miles. A glow up collar will be useful especially as the dark nights are coming. It's amazing how you can loose sight of your dog in your garden! Good luck
