Thanks Rosemary no . OH thinks we will have to strip down the computer. He thinks its an update for windows 10 that might have done it. I think I will go back to window 8, I have had nothing but trouble from windows 10. Thanks for your help.
I must admit I haven't logged on through my laptop recently which is on Windows 10 so can't really help there, although last time I used it on the forum I started getting gobbledygook as I typed (more so than usual that is )
Well we have tried everything we can think of, so there is nothing more to do than strip down the computer. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. My OH said he will start after lunch. Hope to be back soon. Is anyone else using windows 10 Thanks
I've got Windows 10 on the laptop but don't often use it - it's currently charging after I plugged it in to print a couple of emails this morning. I had problems printing but I couldn't guarantee that they were Windows 10 related and not my printer or laptop itself
Cath just to let you know I'm on laptop and have notifications using Windows 10. Have a problem mentioning people in the post though . When I type the @ plus the name the name list comes up but when I click on one it all disappears. Done a preview and it shows properly though
Thanks for that Rosemary for that. I really don't understand what has happen. I have had windows 10 for over a month and all was well, until I had an update and all went pear shape. It may not be that, but we are running out of things to do to sort the problem out.. I think we are going to do it tomorrow now because it will take all day.
Think you may have to contact admin as there seems to be a glitch in your profile somewhere then. Gave you tried unticking etc where we first started?
Yes done that. I have now contacted Admin and waiting to see what they say, I can still get on, but have to write down topics I have visited so I can come back to them . Thanks for all your help in this Rosemary.
No problem. Another way of checking is through your latest postings tab under your name at the top of the screen. It won't show who else has posted but let's you get back quicker to posts of interest. Other option is on the Forums tab itself there is a latest postings section on the right, near the ads for Pippa's books. Hope you get it sorted soon
