Unless she is hiding it remarkably well , I am now pretty sure that she is not having pups, but I think she might be having a phantom . Her teats are still swollen and she is clingy . She doesnt understand toys at all but now, when we go to the river , she still dives for stones but then takes them off and tries to nest, puts the stone in her nest and licks it and squeals at it ? Its similar to when bitches nest with toys but as we dont think she has ever had any toys, stones have taken their place, if that makes sense : She gets terribly upset if we take her " baby " away, dosent growl but just squeals like crazy . We have tried hard to subsidise the stones for other things, like a rubber ring, rubber ball etc . but to no avail , just hope if it is a phantom that it soon stops, for her sake, poor little soul x
Re: Think Millie is having a phantom Apart from this, she is a very happy little thing , loves everyone, tail wags non stop , think I might have a chat with the Vet , maybe something she can take to ease it for her , its like she is loving these stones like babies x
