Sam is totally unaffected by any weather conditions , but recently , Millie has been very scared of the noise of the wind , especially at night . Last night when we had a gale force wind blowing , she sat outside the bedroom door crying , we let her in of course, like you do , but I really don't want this to become a regular habit otherwise the big lad will also want to come in, and our bed just isn't big enough for two dogs , and us Anyone elses dogs spooked by windy weather ?
Yes Kate Hattie is, she isn't worried by fireworks or gunshot but windy weather at night she really doesn't like, she was trying to get in to Thomas's bedroom then mine last night, she wouldn't even go out for her final wee. Terrible gale force winds here last night and this morning yet she doesn't mind going for a walk in it Charlie is a nightmare to walk in the wind as he becomes very skittish. David is away this week so I am not walking him today yet it didn't bother him at all last night Kate you will just have to buy a bigger bed!!! xx
Mabel's not too bothered she had a couple of barks as it rattled the door knocker last night but that was all. On our morning walk we came across a lost guide dog for the blind (ended happily) and then another dog bolted under the fence and ran onto the road. I can only put this down to the weather.
Juno seems to be unaffected by the wind. It's pretty gusty here at the moment as well so getting lots of strange noises from trees, doors in their doorframes and the handles on the shutters rattling. When going out she turns her head up into the wind and inhales - it makes me laugh
Yes, mine was very spooked, not sure if it was just the wind or the banging of things blowing around which reminded him of fireworks. He was in a terrible state, climbing all over me, panting and shaking, slept in my room last night, seems relaxed today. I put it down to fireworks but now wonder if it was just the wind as he has never been like that before.
Charlie pays no mind to anything in the house. If he is outside in the wind he is like a young, silly horse. We used to say the wind 'got up their tails' . Charlie is just like that. Mind, he doesn't need the wind to be like that...
