Our 16 month old English Chocolate Lab has been diagnosed with severe allergies. It runs the gommet from now a vet script dog food, Iams KO, to allergies of dust mites, grass, pasture, eggs, and so on. We feel so torn as to what to do. We love and cherish him so dearly, and will do anything for him. But changing the diet is only going to go so far. We can't shield him from everything in life. We need help!!!! Ideas. He is my best bud. There is no way I can part with him, EVER! We live in upstate central NY.

Hello from 2 year old Molly and me living near Oxford in the UK.

I am afraid I am absolutely no use to you as I have no knowledge, but I just wanted to say "Hello".

I may be of no use to you but we have some pretty clever people on the forum and I am sure one will be along soon.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I can't offer any great suggestions as I've never had to manage allergies in a dog. Perhaps with a little more information members will be able to help more, such as is it a specific type of grass or time of year (like hay fever in humans) what di you mean by 'pasture' what are the plant types? What suggestions had your vet come up with for managing apart from the dietary aspect? Sorry, it seems a lot of questions but more information can help
