That was what i thought at first but Charlie had surgery is in Labrador Health which i'm sure everyone should be able to see. It might just be me though i'm not sure. The error warning is the same for all the ones that didn't work... An internal error has occurred and the module cannot be displayed.

I don't know if this helps or muddies the water but I just logged off and tried to read posts. As with Elizabeth I couldn't see "Charlie had surgery" and had the same message but then I tried "Puppy with straight back legs" and had no problems

Sorry guys, just been catching up after being away. This is peculiar indeed! I don't have access to error logs, sadly, so it's hard to debug this issue.
It's not to do with the length of the post or the age of the post. Nor the punctuation marks in the title.

So, I can't be much help, I'm afraid. We'll put it down to those gremlins again.

Thanks, Rosemary, I've sent Cath a PM to see if we can sort this out for her.

Hehe, it is, but I didn't actually do anything! Maybe it's just the threat of having me poking around and the system decided to sort itself out :D :D

Well, the fact that you're getting some emails would indicate that things are set up properly, both at your end and on the forum. The fact you're not getting all of them could either indicate a flaky mail server that isn't sending the emails correctly, or a glitch in the forum code - which isn't beyond the realms of possibility, because we've had other similar issues with this forum software.

It would be interesting to know if there's any consistency; for example, are you getting emails when someone replies to a thread you've started, but not when it's a thread that's been started by someone else that you've just subscribed to?

I have only got this one when you replied to Maccie D. I have not had any other for over a week now. I thought it may have been window 10,
so got my OH to take it off and put back windows 8.1. He has checked everything he can think of as well, but nothing. I am on other sites on the internet and all are ok. So I am not sure what I can do next. I think I may have to just live with it.

I'm sure it's nothing to do with your operating system; that wouldn't make any sense at all. If you're posting replies successfully (which it appears you are), and are receiving some of the emails successfully (again, yes), then it's down to the forum software to actually send out the emails, nothing your end. It seems that it's not doing this.

I only have my settings set to send emails when I get a PM (which is does every time) and not when I get a reply to a message, but I'll turn that on and see how I get on with it.

I've had this setting all day so I've been getting emails for threads I've started or commented on and it's working fine for me. Which doesn't help you at all, I realise!

I've turned it off now because that many emails sends me bonkers ;)
