Rook Juno to the vet yesterday evening for her pre-travel worker and for her passport to be signed. Since 12:00 we've had her vomiting, now on 4 occasions! Washing her bedding and now the washing machine isn't spinning. Has anyone had a dog vomiting after Profender? I've looked online and there is no side effects reported for dogs.
I've never even heard of it.... Is it a vaccine? I would do all the usual things for a vomity dog eg. Bland food etc etc but also call your vet even just to advise them that she's had a reaction to it. They may want to see her but it might be a good idea just to get it recorded in her notes for future reference.
Oh poor Juno and poor you just what you need Never heard of Profender either. Looks like it's rice and chicken for Juno for a few days until her tummy settles or give the vet a quick ring for advise. xx
Profender is just a worker and it could be completely coincidental. I'm going on the starvation route for Juno and will hunt through the small amount if food we have in the house for what I can give her. Only rice I have (somewhere) is uncle bens boil in the bag or microwave stuff. Even the pasta is packed.
Poor girl . Harley used to react the same to a wormer we used ages ago. I changed wormer and no probs since. Hope her tummy settles quickly x
Rushed out before the shops closed to get some chicken and rice. No minced chicken or lamb in France so ended up with some cod fillets and boil in the bag rice. Hopefully Juno will be able to have a few mouthfuls later tonight. Guess who's sleeping on the sofa tonight
Poor Juno The Praziquantal bit of the Profender is also part of the Drontal XL that we use, and Lilly has definitely been a bit iffy after the last couple of doses - not immediately after but maybe 24-48 hours. And she hates taking it now. Hope she settles quickly.
She had some boiled cod fillet with rice about 90 minutes ago. We thought she was going to bring it back up as she was very unsettled afterwards but seems quite relaxed now? Fingers, toes and everything else crossed at the moment. Not sure if it's the Profender or not as she hats just been vomiting - just she says! Poos have been perfectly normal. Either way at least she won't need Profender again (well at least for a while)
Juno is much better today and has had 2 small meals of boiled cod and rice without any problems. She's wanted a little play this afternoon and is out for a walk at the moment. Going to try a small tea of her normal kibble when she gets back and planning to give her another small portion when we get back from eating out this evening (house is all packed up ). Planning go give her smaller meals and more often while we travel as well, just hope she doesn't think that it's a permanent feature
Midge reacts the same way to Drontal and i think they share some ingredients. I use another wormer now and she;s fine. Glad to hear shes much better and you are ready for your big move. best wishes for a speed return to the UK so excited for you all
Shadow was the same after Drontal the last time. It lasted a day. I'm glad Juno is feeling better. It's not nice to see them unwell.
