Our 29 week old lab is still biting and it really hurts. When she goes out and upon return we try and wipe her paws she constantly bites your hands. Also if we are sat on the sofa she sits in front of you as she's not allowed on the sofa and bites your hands and fingers. We put her in her crate for time out and then the whole thing starts again. Any tips please?

This is very normal, all of mine have done it. They grow out of it. When towelling down have a treat on a chair for them to focus on (or several treats at first) and give them for good sitting while you do it.

To stop her going on the sofa don't use your hands - use treats to lure her down and play with toys with her only when on the floor. Do plenty of training too - she could be a bit bored. Training really tires them out at this age.

Be more determined than she is and she will get the message :)

Here is lots of excellent advice - http://www.thelabradorsite.com/labrador-puppies-biting/

Ripple is just 7 months and still has biting episodes, he is worse with OH as he makes everything a tussle whereas if I am drying Ripple and he bites I just stand up and wait until he sits quietly - I think Ripple knows I am prepared to do this for as long as necessary so he stops quite quickly. I use the treat on a table in front of him trick and also my clicker for allowing each part of him to be towelled down and it definitely works.

We also sometimes get the problem with the sofa as we don't allow Ripple on the furniture, I tend to get up and walk away and do something more interesting elsewhere, again OH gets in a tussle with Ripple which just makes him more excited and more bitey. I have also noticed Ripple will put his feet on the sofa when I'm not on it and keep glancing at me waiting for a reaction, again I ignore and do something more interesting and he soon stops.

It's quite a game keeping one step ahead of them at this age, sometimes it's quite amusing the things they get up to but I do empathise with you as it can be really frustrating.
