She's brilliant!!! Hardly limping at all, whereas it was so pronounced before the op. Just keeping her quiet and calm the best I can, think she woke up this morning and realised she wasn't in pain anymore!! Lol. She's on antibiotics for a week. Anti inflammatory meds for 3 weeks to keep the joint quiet. Her bandage is coming off Saturday morning. Haven't even needed the cone of shame yet. Just sprayed the bandage with bitter Apple. Might be a different story when the dressings off though!!!
    Xx

So much better if you don't need the cone. I used to just pop the cone on Juno when we popped out shopping and overnight, the rest of the time she was cone free. Think it made for a happier dog. This was Juno with her bandage

Awwwww!!!! She got a posh red one!! Love it. Quick question re bandage it's only on 3-5 days. Which is Friday (New Years day, no vet) or Sunday (no vet) so was taking her Saturday only its slipped a wee bit. Do I need to take her for a new one??

The French vets seem to like either red or blue for their bandages - certainly makes them stand out more. Juno had her bandage on from the Thursday until Tuesday, like you due to vet opening and availability of our lovely English speaking vet. We didn't have a problem with slippage, we actually loosened it a bit around her paw so she could make contact with the floor with her claws better and therefore walked more comfortably. Although it did gradually become looser around the top. Is it still covering the elbow well? How loose is it? It may be worth a quick call to the vet to see what they think but I wouldn't imagine that they will want to pull it around - I do remember it was quite difficult to cut Juno's off as the bandage was well stuck to the gauze underneath.

That's good that it can come off. It has slipped a lot, hasn't it. Wound looks nice and clean though.

It's great that she's already walking better on it :)

That is rather loose, if he's happy for the bandage to come off tomorrow all well and good, less chance of it beginning to annoy her. If she's not worrying at the bandage hopefully she won't bother when it comes off either. - for some reason this didn't post earlier
