Hi everyone. My old lab is coming g on 11. He has worked for nearly 10 years.. I'm worried about rowan. His back legs have gave way a good few times in the past month but he hasn't shown any pain or discomfort till just now. He tried to get up off the sofa and just collapsed and started snapping at his back legs. What can I do. I'm really worried. He will be 11 in June so he is reaching his expected life span and I don't want him to be suffering. His moles he has had for a few years have all inflamed a bit too. I'm off to the vet in the morning and sitting with him through the night.

Hello there, and a warm welcome.

It sounds like you are already doing the best thing in taking your boy to the vet. I hope you get some good advice, and a clear diagnosis and treatment to keep your boy comfy for many happy times ahead with you. I know it's worrying, and you must be fearing the worst, but do wait and see what the vet says. Perhaps it's arthritic stiffness that could be improved with anti-inflammatories or something like that?

Best of luck with it, do let us know what the vet says.
