Hi, today our 10 week old puppy Hugo had his 2nd vaccinations, worming tablet at the vet. Then we went to his 2nd puppy preschool class. At the class he was happy lively and his usual puppy self. After the class he had a runny tummy. Since then has slept a lot and had runny tummy once he woke up. Poor little guy! I was wondering if anyone has had this experience after vaccinations or worming? We were with the puppy preschool instructor when it first started and she has said to monitor and give him chicken and rice today.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Oh poor wee Hugo! Jura has had a runny tummy after worming in the past. It has cleared up quickly though.

The advice I've had when Jura was Hugo's age was to keep an eye on fluid intake they dehydrate very quickly at that age, it's a good idea to make the chicken and rice really sloppy to get some fluids in him and lots of tiny meals.

    Hope he's feeling better soon

It does sound as if it could be a combination of the vaccination and worker, or just the worker. Some puppies do seem to have tummy upsets after them. As with the advice you've already had monitor and ensure that Hugo is drinking and sloppy chicken and rice until his poo becomes firm again.
Is he active and playful apart from the runny poo? If you are worried it's always best to check with the vet.

Thank you, yes he is running around and playful as usual and also his usual sleeping as well during the afternoon, I think he might be sleeping a bit more than usual though. We will see how he is overnight and in the morning. Just fed him and he ate it all very enthusiastically.

Sounds as if there is nothing too much wrong with him then. Just keep an eye on him and if you're at all worried phone the vet. It's always best to be cautious with young pups.

Shredded boiled chicken thighs with rice will work as others have posted. Was surprised how effective it was it firming up the gooey poop.
