Hi all. I thought I'd post a few pictures of Jake from his walk today, when it hit me that he's now 4 months, and I don't know where the last two months have went. He's such a good boy, and we love him to bits, he's really helped us with losing Misty last month. I keep waiting for him to turn into a wee terror, but so far so good :D

His training is coming on really well, he offers a sit for most things, he picked that up really quickly, he is learning leave it around food and treats, he struggles with lie down without a lure though, but we're working on it as he needs this for his puppy good behaviour class. He walks nicely on a loose lead, unless Jerry the cat is walking with us, he's too much of a distraction, he's great off lead so far, he recalls back from people and dogs, I'm hoping this will last and not totally fly out the window as he ages up and gains more confidence in himself.

He finally mastered the stairs, and can now go up and down under his own steam at bed time, that's a relief I can tell you! He can hop into the back seat of my car (my boots not big enough for an adult lab), and he travels really well too.

He's started loosing teeth, I can see new ones coming through, and wee holes where ones have fell out, but his mouthing hasn't gotten ant worse, it surfaces when Stuart comes home from work, or if we let him get too excited when playing. But we've no scars from his mouthing, he's never hurt us, so we're hoping it will stop soon, as we seem to be on the right track. He also "nibbles" with his front teeth when he's tired and cuddling in, it's kind of cute.

He's never chewed anything, except Stuart's mouse cable a few weeks after he came home, but he does love shoes, socks and paper tissues. He's no sneak thief though, he parades them in front of you, with full body waggle going on at the same time, he will trade except for the paper tissues.

We weighted him on Saturday as he needed wormer, he's 16kg now, but looking good, these pictures are from todays walk.

He's a bit of a cuddle monster too, and loves being up on a lap, I may need a larger couch. Here's one of him sleeping, he sometimes sleeps with his tongue out, it's too cute.

Jake is looking very handsome and sounds as if he's a lovely pup to live with.

Hehe, what a lovely pup. My Shadow also does the front teeth nibble. I don't discourage it because I find it cute, too. He does sometimes catch skin through the clothing, but it's very rare and he doesn't mean it when he does.

Willow often sleeps with her tongue out. Last night it was sticking out about five centimetres! I tried to get a photo but she sensed my movement and woke up, booo!

Jake sounds like a complete star :)

Jake is such a cutie ☺ and it sounds like he's being a very good boy. You must be proud of all of the hard work that you've put in.

I love the stealing and parading in front of you, Ella does the same. If we ignore her she gets closer and closer until she's practically pushed the sock (or whatever she's got hold of) in our faces ☺

Some of the photos actually remind me a lot of Ella, especially the second one. They have a very similar build/body shape.
