Today, I made the mistake of leaving my MacBook open on the sofa when I left the room for a comfort break. Saba, now five months and full of mischief, thought he'd do a bit of surfing, and using his enormous paws, completely trashed the keyboard! That's the trouble with Labs; no opposable thumbs and completely lacking in delicacy of touch! Just wondering how to break the news to OH...Luckily, I also have a laptop!

Lesson learned the hard way. :( :(

    Home Insurance?

Also - look at your pet insurance.

Eeek! Is it just the keys have popped off? My ferrets have done that several times! You can clip them back on, or buy new ones if any of them are broken. Here's a little video that (I hope - I've not watched it through!) shows how easy it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kh88cn_rtLo

Sadly not...he's managed to break the mounting clips too! Did I mention his huge paws?! OH has sourced a replacement keyboard - again. Last time, I spilled water on the keyboard, and my long-suffering OH spent hours locked in his office patiently removing 67 tiny retaining screws, fitting new keyboard, and the replacing said screws, I shan't be pestering him for a quick repair...;)

We won't trouble our insurers for this as the policy excess is likely to be more than the cost of repair, but I WILL be sure to leave this laptop well out of the reach of a certain inquisitive puppy!
