Very lucky that you noticed so quickly and Dexter hadn't swallowed it. It's scary to think what might have happened if you hadn't seen what it was. I hope he's ok - and you're feeling better too.

How scary for you, hope he's none the worse for it?! Not sure whether i'd have managed to get it off Baxter before he'd swallow it, he still thinks if i want something off him it must be worth something or a game. Something we're going to have work on.

Yeesh what a fright! Hugs to you, Angela! Good to know his drop-it is reliable, though, phew! Hope he's ok, though. I'm sure it will make you paranoid about finding rat poison everywhere you go for awhile, though

After me having a bit of a restless night ,waking up and checking he was still breathing  (totally irrational as that isn't something that would happen) Dexter is absolutely fine thankyou, full of beans on his walk this morning with his spaniel pal and has been happily sniffing round and 'supervising' the builders today.
The office confirmed that it was a poison pellet, they suspect dropped rather than anything sinister but told me it was a shame that I had stood on it as it made it hard to identify if it was the actual brand that the Pest Control Co use rather than a malicious/careless individual going about with rat poison!......Oh,so its me that's supposed to be saying sorry?I don't think so! The Conclusion was that to their knowledge it had never happened before and they would report it to the contractor to investigate and find out which technician it was..... so that's pretty much me never hearing anything again.I put it up on the Community FB page to make people be aware.....
Bruer, when Dexter was younger, his drop wouldn't have been that reliable....it could have ended very badly........
Thanks all for your kind wishes and hope everyone is welll and safe as we sign off to bed! x

Glad to hear Dexter is ok. It's just a shame you were so careless and stepped on the poison
