    Hi!

    Since it was a place to introduce yourself, i decided I would! I'm from the UK and own a Labrador, and I do obedience and agility with him :)

    Hes a pure-bred English Labrador :3 inst he lovely?

    The image is a little large, sorry!

    His name's Sunni. He has a lot of drive, and is very speedy in agility! Though he's good at obedience, I doubt ill be competing with him in it any time soon ^^;
    I would love to do flyball with him, but theres no opportunities around here sadly.

    Hi and welcome! What a lovely boy he is. How old is he? He looks just like my girl Maisie!

    Welcome to the board. Is Sunni considered to be fox red? He looks a dark yellow in the photo. He looks very fit and lean. :)

    I dont think so...

    His farther is from here, Murphy. Compared to the other males from the breeder, hes very yellow :)
    Also, in the UK, fox red is considered yellow, so even the reddest of reds would be registered as a yellow lab.

    Probably because the gene for red is the same as the gene for yellow, just a different shade.

    He is very lean because he doesnt like putting on weight, which is the opposite problem most lab owners seem to have. Its like the food doesnt go anywhere! But he's not too bad right now.
    He has a large ribcage too compared to the rest of his body, but some say he's underweight, others say he's the right weight...

    Maisie is a shade of fox red and is also very lean (20kg). If I had a £ for every time someone says to me "what is she? A lab? But she's not fat" :rolleyes:.

    What a lovely looking boy!
    He does look like he would drop weight easily if he is unwell though - not a problem most labs have to be sure!

    Which part of the UK are you based in?
    A shame there are no agility clubs nearby for you.

    Oh....and welcome to the forum from me and Lilly!

    haha, most people dont even suggest Sunni's a Lab, they always askwhat breed he is xD One guess someone gave was Rhodesian Ridgeback :p Surprising, since theyre not very common! Ever get that?
    20kg is very light for a lab! Sunni weighs 27kg, but i reckon he may be a bit taller (63cm).

    @Jacqui
    Hiya! ;)
    We have a suprising amount of agility clubs near us hehe, almost spoiled for choice ^^ I have 1-2-1s with a teacher, and he recorded a video of us on Sunday to review, maybe ill share it when I get the video...

    We're from Devon area, and yeah, Id love to do flyball with him, since he's ball mad and fast, but it is a shame we cant :( maybe in the future!
    Hi to Lilly too!! She's gorgeous! Black labs have such a great colour :D

    Same here, Canada. My Vet's Lab is fox red but it's hard to tell on a monitor what true colour is like.

    Hi Kate!
    I bet cornwall is having just as great weather as here! (if you like cold, wet and grey haha)
    Yeah, I guess it is a bit better than overweight, especially when doing agility, as less weight on the joints, but still causes some reactions from some people...

    @Snowshoe
    I see! Didnt know that, sorry.
    It was not the best lighting for that image ill admit.
    Hi by the way!

    Hi and welcome, I'm from Devon too and have Lucan (black lab) and Bracken my liver & white Pointer.
    I believe there may be a Flyball club in the Sidmouth area, I'm sure someone mentioned one the other day, I'll ask around and see what I can find out.

    No, no, don't worry, it's likely my very old monitor that's the problem. :)
