hi looking for some advice I have 13 wk old black lab was just wondering how long everyone walks there puppy?? At present I'm walking him 15 min about 6 45 am and about 20 min in afternoon some on lead some of lead but he just walks by side of me! I'm worried I'm walking him to much but he full energy and loves his walks!! Do u think this to much at his age ? Keep reading about 5 min rule but think just 15 min day both me and Murphy would be climbing walls lol X

Your fine. I did what you did starting at 9 weeks. Take it slow and easy and have fun. It's a dog, not a china doll.

I searched really hard to find scientific support for the 5minute rule and couldn't find any! What you're doing sounds fine to me and similar to what I've done with puppies. (Obviously you don't let your pup get exhausted.) After all some people have huge gardens for their puppies to scamper about in, while others who don't are simply using places like recreation grounds in the same way.
