Hi, We have just returned from a short break at Lewtrenchard Manor ( http://www.lewtrenchard.co.uk/ ). Its a lovely old hotel and is very dog-friendly - dogs can stop (with their owners!) in any of the rooms/suites provided that they are crated if left on their own, they are allowed in most other rooms in the hotel (excluding the restaurant), and the hotel has extensive (11 acres I think) grounds for them to enjoy. It also provides fantastic dining for the humans. I found it to be of the 'Wow. That was fantastic ... is that all there is?' variety but OH says that there was plenty and I'm just an unappreciative gannet! Oh, and while we were there we made the short(ish) trip to Westward Ho! They have a fantastic beach there that is open to dogs in the off-season (October to May, I think it was). Harv had a fantastic time racing around on the beach (see below for my poor effort at capturing this!), splashing through the surf, having a quick swim, and then finding an equally energetic cocker-poo to race around with.
Sounds just grand , glad you all enjoyed it , we often stray off the reservation and head into deepest Devon , beautiful
