It is possible to share a photo from Facebook on the forum, as long as it is marked for public viewing. First, you need to open the photo up in Facebook so it's full size, like this: First things first, make sure that it's set to Public: Then, you want to right-click on the image and choose "Copy Image Address", or something similar (the exact words are browser dependent). Then, come back to the forum and, in your post, click on the little image icon in the toolbar that looks like a picture of mountains (third from the left in this screenshot Then paste your image address into the box: Click Insert and you're done .... like this...
Just trying it out - this is really easy and works well, thanks for the tip. The photo shows Lochan enjoying the spring sunshine.
I don't seem to be able to do it. When I click on the "Get Link" it says..... "Invalid Photo Sorry, we can not generate a public link for this photo" I have made the posts with the photo public and followed the instructions. Do you think it might be due to some other privacy setting?
OK, so when you right-click on the photo (which you have previously clicked on so it's opened up in its pop-up), you should get a menu that has options: "Open image in new tab" "Save image as..." "Copy image" "Copy image address" "Inspect" Right? So, if you click on "Copy image address", what happens?
OK @snowbunny I have...... Aha......just tried "embed post" and it gave me an address Which I then tried to copy as a link and it did this.....
If I click the "Get Link" it just gives me that message I copied a few posts further up, the Invalid Photo one. First my phone, now Facebook, I am getting paranoid......
OK, you're clicking on Options. You can't do it that way. You need to right-click on the photo itself and click on "Copy image address" like in the screenshot on my first post
