I am currently walking Hattie's best friend big 'H', picked him up and off we went on this very beautiful sunny day. We were bimbling along, yes we love to bimble when we heard strange bird noises, walked on a bit and in a field that usually has sheep in there was a flock of Geese instead, hmm .. Hattie thought they looked quite interesting but a quick 'stop' whistle sorted that out About an hour later we went uphill only to see a helicopter performing some manoeuvres, dipping it's nose, hovering, landing, taking off all about 200 meters from us (not good at guessing distances ) got Hattie and 'H' in a sit look at me whilst the great big bird in the sky was performing all it's acrobatics behind them, they didn't budge a single bit, even when I couldn't resist having a look Even big 'H' is learning more and more every day! Never pass up a training opportunity even if it is a helicopter x
Sounds like great control. The helicopter would have been Molly's downfall - a couple of weeks ago one came skimming fairly low over us and she raced after it barking her head off! (Fortunately we were in a safe spot for a mad chase.)
Sounds like a great morning! @Joy I also have a fear of Maisie chasing helicopters, particularly the coastguard ones!
Luckily for me where I live there are quite often Army helicopters or a few from a large estate that fly around practising, so I take the helicopter training when it's there x
Such good dogs , H & H , well done Its so good for them to get used to the unexpected , we walk the local forests where there is a series of massive railway viaducts to go under . The London Paddington - Penzance trains go thundering overhead , our dogs are used to it but it could be unnerving for those who aren't x
