Wanted: ideas for dog walks suitable for off-lead runabout - Wilts/Glos. border

Hello all,

I have a really bouncy 2 year old labrador who is looking to spend time off-lead, preferably with new pals from time to time, in the Wilts/Glos. border area (Swindon and surrounding villages, into Gloucestershire).
I am not sure where the safe walks are, perhaps along public footpaths but with some real space to have a run about. I visit a secure dog field in Cricklade which is great, but need to find some nice, interesting and more varied walks for my girl. Does anyone have any good, safe walks to recommend?

Ideally, I would like to get together with other like-minded lab owners at intervals as I feel my dog doesn't get as much socialisation as I'd like these days. She goes to kennels one day a week while I am at work, and has attended training classes, but I am hoping that more of a casual run about will help her to not be quite so excited when she sees another dog/human!

I live about 45 mins away from Swindon but would be happy to meet midway somewhere if you fancy it on a weekend? I've got Harley who is 2.5 years old and us a bit bouncy at times, but generally really good with other labs

 

Hello Naya, yes please, sounds great! Can we private message one another? I am eager to know whereabouts you are in relation to me as Swindon is the nearest town to me but I don't actually live there. Sunday is better for me if that's okay with you?
