    Hi all.

My 5 month old Luna has a tendency late at night to lick the (fabric) sofa. She's been doing it for quite a while now, but we just can't figure out why.

The only thing we thought it could be is if she's a bit warm. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Harley likes to lick my onesie ........ Think it might be the feel of the material that she likes?? She only licks it a few times then will lie down on my lap!
Has any good been dropped on there previously? It's amazing how sensitive fogs noses are.

My last dog (choccie boy) did that. I never found any reason for it - just seemed to be a bad habit. I stopped him whenever I saw him doing it, but couldn't break the habit. It didn't affect his health in any way.

I think it's probably most likely the fabric is 'interesting' for some reason - something has been dropped on it, or there is a particular scent (even that it smells of you) and so on. I try covering it up for a bit to stop a habit forming.

Try a fabric safe enzymatic cleanser on the spot.

Thanks for your replies. I don't think anything has been dropped on it as it's not an area of the sofa that we (or anyone) really sits on.

I'll try putting something over it and see if it still happens.

    Thanks again :)
