@Sophiathesnowfairy - things are a little better. He can go several hours without biting me at all - I find it happens mainly now when he is tired. He still bites the children more than me, though.

I, too, am looking forward to the day the biting stops!

Hello I would have said yes but this morning Hugo has hardly stopped biting my leg - think it was a bit of excitement after being in the crate over night . He is 15 weeks and at the moment I can't imagine any of us ever wearing flip flops shorts etc! How old is Luna now?! X

Ah, I remember feeling like those puppy habits would never end, too! It does get better, honestly. Just be super consistent about your approach, set up training opportunities for it to speed up the process and it will pass. Some pups get there quicker than others - I was incredibly lucky that Willow had finished by 14 weeks and Shadow (who came to us at 14 weeks) never went through it at all. But, 8-14 weeks with Willow, I looked like I was heavily into self harming.

Hugo is 15 weeks and still is nippy but it has reduced usually a spurt first thing on a morning when he sees us and on an evening if over tired - can't imagine wearing summer clothes with bare legs yet!

Luna is 13 weeks. It was all going well until Monday and
Tuesday evening when suddenly she started jumping up and nipping me as well. I couldn't sit down on the sofa without her coming and nipping me.

I couldn't work out whether it was to do with not enough stimulation or over stimulation. I still don't know.

So yesterday she had three small walks and some time just playing outside, at least I did get to sit on the sofa for a bit without incident. The this morning she has been pretty good, she has jumped up and swung off the bottom of my jumper but I have just stood there And then walked out of the door when she has detached herself.

She will still"leave it"if I get to say it to her before she leaps though.

I have also got her a puzzle for getting treats out of In the hope it will stop her getting bored if that is the issue.

Speaking to you lot and reading a couple of other threads makes me loads more relaxed about it!

No, I can't imagine summer clothes at the mo either, or actually anything nice, I am living in my gardening jeans and crumminest jumpers.

Have some treats in your pocket when you get on the sofa so that you can put her in a quick 'sit'. If you want to settle there take a filled Kong to help her settle next to you. Be very calm with a slow, low, calm voice and long slow calm strokes for the dog :)
