Hi everyone. I'm a bit nervous. My other dog never had any blood when losing teeth. But Axel was bleeding decently tonight. We were at the dog park and a very excited Doberman puppy was jumping all over him. Once the owner took her dog away we noticed Axel was bleeding and leaving blood marks on our legs. Once we took a look we found it was coming from one of the molars. We touched it and it was pretty wiggly but was very much still attached. Should I be worried? Is that normal? He doesn't seem to be in pain. He ate dinner no problem. Playing no problem. Just like I said. My other dog never bled when losing teeth so I was a bit panicked when I saw it
Ella had this happen when she was teething. She was playing with a yellow lab puppy of about the same age and he ended up covered in blood! It looked like he was bleeding all over but we searched him and found nothing before realising it was coming from Ella's mouth. There were no ongoing issues from it so fingers crossed Axel will be fine
It was snowy when my two were teething. That shows up the blood pretty well. One of their litter mates is in the same village as us and when the three of them got together, it was like the scene of a massacre!
I have a story like @Emily and @snowbunny. Another dog walking lady thought the Golden Retriever pup was badly injured but it was Oban's teething blood on his lovely neck ruff. Oban was around 5 months old. I never found any of his teeth.
Yes, exact same with us at the dog park with a bloody mouth and getting it on other dogs! We also had some bloody toys and did find one molar as well.
